Pine Grove Cardinals (Pine Grove, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Tamaqua Blue Raiders (Tamaqua, PA), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tri-Valley for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 6. Pine Grove will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 5-1 league win over Minersville (Minersville, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 14-1.

With the loss, Tamaqua falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Blue raiders host Jim Thorpe (Jim Thorpe, PA) to battle the Olympians in a Schuylkill I challenge on Monday, May 8. The Olympians enter the challenge with a record of 1-15. Jim Thorpe lost 20-0 in their recent league challenge against North Schuylkill (Ashland, PA)
