Yorktown Huskers (Yorktown Heights, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Somers Tuskers (Lincolndale, NY), 9-4 in a league challenge.

The Huskers now own a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they host Brewster for a Section 1 II - C challenge on Saturday, May 6. Yorktown will battle a Bears squad coming off a 2-1 league win over John Jay (Cross River, NY). The Bears record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Somers falls to 9-2 on the campaign. The Tuskers host Fox Lane (Bedford, NY) to battle the Foxes in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. The Foxes enter the challenge with a record of 8-6. Fox Lane won 14-5 in their recent league challenge against Ossining (Ossining, NY)
