Walled Lake Northern Knights (Commerce, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Walled Lake Central Vikings (Walled Lake, MI), 11-2 in a league challenge.
The Knights now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mattawan for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 6.
With the loss, Walled Lake Central falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Vikings host Mott (Waterford, MI) to battle the Corsairs in a Lakes Valley challenge on Tuesday, May 9. The Corsairs enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
