The Sterling Golden Warriors baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the host Geneseo Maple Leafs to 2 in the Golden Warriors league victory on Saturday.
The Golden Warriors (8-13) will now prepare for their match against Quincy (Quincy, IL). The Blue Devils go into the Western Big Six match with a 9-15 record. In their last match, Quincy edged Alleman (Rock Island, IL), 10-7, in a league match.
The Maple Leafs (11-16) will now prepare for their match against Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL). The Tornadoes go into the non-league match with a 17-5 record. In their last match, Abingdon/Avon edged Biggsville West Central (Biggsville, IL), 6-5, in a league match.
