Illinois High School Baseball - Marquette prevails Newark

Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL) and the host Newark Norsemen (Newark, IL), saw Marquette's baseball squad knock off Newark by a count of 10-1.

Coming up next, the Crusaders play the Midland Timberwolves (Varna, IL) in a Tri-County battle, on Monday, May 6. Marquette will attempt to move on its 21-1 season record. The Timberwolves enter the battle with a 8-16 record after their 0-0 non-league Galva (Galva, IL).

The Norsemen now possess a 8-20 record. They take the field next when they host Coal City for a non-league battle on Thursday, May 9.
