The Ocean Township Spartans crushed the visiting St. Rose Purple Roses baseball team by a count of 14-4 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Neptune for a Shore - B North bout on Monday, May 6. Ocean Township will face a Scarlet Fliers team coming off a 12-2 league loss to Red Bank Regional (Little Silver, NJ). The Scarlet Fliers record now stands at 1-13.

Next, the Purple Roses face the Lakewood Piners (Lakewood, NJ) in a Shore - B Central bout, on Monday, May 6. St. Rose will attempt to move on its 11-5 season record. The Piners enter the bout with a 1-8 record after their 16-1 league loss to Point Pleasant Beach (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ).
