The Somers Spartans lacrosse team scored 12 points and held the visiting Valley Regional Warriors to 8 in the Spartans non-league win on Saturday.
The Spartans (5-3) will now prepare for their match against Ellington (Ellington, CT). The Knights go into the North Central Connecticut match with a 7-1 record. In their last match, Ellington nudged South Windsor (South Windsor, CT), 8-7, in a non-league match.
The Warriors (3-8) will now prepare for their match against New London (New London, CT). The Whalers go into the non-league match with a 1-9 record.
