In Saturday's non-league contest, the New Ulm Eagles (New Ulm, MN) softball team held off the host Andover Huskies (Andover, MN), by a margin of 4-3.
With the triumph, New Ulm moves its record to 11-1 on the year. The Eagles travel to St. Peter (St. Peter, MN) to play the Saints in a South Central contest on Monday, May 6. The Saints come into the contest with a record of 8-5.
In their next game, the Huskies play the Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars (Zumbrota, MN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, May 4. Andover will attempt to move on its 13-3 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 7-6 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Randolph (Randolph, MN).
