Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Hill-McCloy Rams (Montrose, MI) and the visiting Birch Run Panthers (Birch Run, MI), witnessed Hill-McCloy's softball squad tip Birch Run by a count of 5-3.

The Rams now sport a 11-7 record. They play next when they travel to New Lothrop for a Mid-Michigan match on Monday, May 6. Hill-McCloy will face a Hornets squad coming off a 9-7 non-league win over Waverly (Lansing, MI). The Hornets record now stands at 12-4.

With the loss, Birch Run moves to 3-6 on the season. The Panthers host Garber (Essexville, MI) to face the Dukes in a Tri-Valley - East match on Monday, May 6. The Dukes go into the match with a record of 13-4. Garber lost 5-3 in their recent non-league match against Ogemaw Heights (West Branch, MI)
