O'Fallon Panthers (O'Fallon, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Columbia Eagles (Columbia, IL), 9-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 6-20 record. They take the field next when they host Nashville for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 8.

With the loss, Columbia falls to 17-10 on the campaign. The Eagles host East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL) to battle the Oilers in a Cahokia - Mississippi challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Oilers enter the challenge with a record of 4-18. East Alton-Wood River lost 9-0 in their recent league challenge against Breese Central (Breese, IL)
