Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the South Adams Starfires (Berne, IN) and the host Garrett Railroaders (Garrett, IN), witnessed South Adams's softball squad tip Garrett by a count of 5-2.

The Starfires now sport a 15-1 record. They play next when they host Parkway for a non-league match on Monday, May 6. South Adams will face a Panthers squad coming off a 10-9 league win over Versailles (Versailles, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 18-3.

With the loss, Garrett moves to 6-12 on the season. The Railroaders host Fremont (Fremont, IN) to face the Eagles in a Northeast Corner match on Tuesday, May 7. The Eagles go into the match with a record of 10-5. Fremont lost 6-4 in their recent non-league match against Hilltop (West Unity, OH)
