Spectators at Saturday's league match between the Holcomb Hornets (Holcomb, MO) and the host Gideon Bulldogs (Gideon, MO), witnessed Holcomb's softball squad prevail over Gideon by a count of 16-2.

The Hornets now sport a 23-3 record. They play next when they host South Pemiscot for a Class 1 District 1 match on Monday, May 6. Holcomb will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Risco (Risco, MO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-15.

With the loss, Gideon moves to 8-7 on the season.
