The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Mount Vernon Tigers (Mount Vernon, TX) and the visiting Jefferson Bulldogs (Jefferson, TX), saw Mount Vernon's softball squad achieve victory over Jefferson by a count of 16-5.
The Tigers now sport a 24-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to White Oak for a non-league match on Saturday, May 11. Mount Vernon will face a Roughnecks squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Hooks (Hooks, TX). The Roughnecks record now stands at 28-6.
With the loss, Jefferson falls to 22-13 on the campaign.
