Madison Bulldogs (Madison, SD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Vermillion Tanagers (Vermillion, SD), 7-1 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Central for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. Madison will face a Trojans squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Alcester-Hudson (Alcester, SD). The Trojans record now stands at 13-0.

With the loss, Vermillion falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Tanagers travel to Tea (Tea, SD) to face the Titans in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 9-4. Tea lost 5-1 in their recent league challenge against West Central (Hartford, SD)
