The Skaneateles Lakers softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Phoenix Firebirds to 1 in the Lakers league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Skaneateles improves its record to 5-7 on the year. The Lakers travel to Marcellus (Marcellus, NY) to clash with the Mustangs in a Section 3 Liberty 2 game on Tuesday, May 7. The Mustangs come into the game with a record of 10-2. Marcellus won 8-2 in their recent non-league game against Christian Brothers Academy (Syracuse, NY)

In their next game, the Firebirds clash with the Mexico Tigers (Mexico, NY) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 6. Phoenix will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Tigers come into the game with a 2-6 record after their 15-3 league loss to Chittenango (Chittenango, NY).
