In Sunday's non-league bout, the Lafayette Lancers (Wildwood, MO) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Webster Groves Statesmen (Webster Groves, MO), by a tally of 10-0.
Next up, the Lancers encounter the Kirkwood Pioneers (Kirkwood, MO) in a Class 6 District 2 bout, on Monday, May 5. Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 14-9 season record.
The Statesmen (8-18) will now prepare for their bout against Hillsboro (Hillsboro, MO). The Hawks enter the non-league bout with a 11-10 record. In their last bout, Hillsboro was overwhelmed by Perryville (Perryville, MO), 3-1, in a non-league bout.
