Illinois High School Baseball - Hononegah defeats Freeport

May 4, 2026: Freeport, IL 61032

The crowd at Monday's league battle between the Hononegah Indians (Rockton, IL) and the host Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL), saw Hononegah's baseball team beat Freeport by a margin of 12-4.

The Indians (19-5) will now prepare for their battle against Boylan Catholic (Rockford, IL). The Titans enter the Northern Illinois battle with a 14-11 record. In their last battle, Boylan Catholic was overwhelmed by Guilford (Rockford, IL), 6-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Pretzels face the Harlem Huskies (Machesney Park, IL) in a Northern Illinois battle, on Wednesday, May 6. Freeport will attempt to improve on its 11-11 season record. The Huskies enter the battle with a 17-6 record after their 2-0 league win over Belvidere North (Belvidere, IL).
