The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Washington County Commanders (Springfield, KY) and the host Burgin Bulldogs (Burgin, KY), observed Washington County's softball team notch a victory over Burgin by a final score of 31-14.

The Commanders (13-11) will now prepare for their bout against Thomas Nelson (Bardstown, KY). The Generals go into the District 19 bout with a 4-9 record. In their last bout, Thomas Nelson was routed by Caverna (Horse Cave, KY), 7-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Paris Greyhounds (Paris, KY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, May 5. Burgin will attempt to better on its 3-14 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 9-12 record after their 10-8 non-league win over Eminence (Eminence, KY).
