The Pulaski County Cougars got by the visiting Blacksburg Bruins baseball team by a count of 5-4 in Thursday's league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cave Spring for a River Ridge bout on Tuesday, May 10. Pulaski County will face a Knights team coming off a 10-0 league win over Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA). The Knights record now stands at 8-4.

Next, the Bruins face the Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, May 9. Blacksburg will attempt to move on its 6-7 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 11-4 record after their 2-1 league loss to Fleming (Roanoke, VA).
