In Thursday's non-league challenge, the Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA) baseball squad the visiting Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA), by a final score of 9-5.
With the win, Pierce County upgrades its record to 27-3 on the season. The Bears host Franklin County (Carnesville, GA) to battle the Lions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 26-6. Franklin County won 5-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Morgan County (Madison, GA)
With the defeat, Cherokee Bluff falls to 25-10 on the season.
