In Thursday's non-league game, the host Cimarron Bluejays baseball team scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Scott Beavers.
The Bluejays (11-3) will now prepare for their game against Goodland (Goodland, KS). The Cowboys go into the Great West game with a 7-7 record.
The Beavers (7-8) will now prepare for their game against Hugoton (Hugoton, KS). The Eagles go into the Great West game with a 6-9 record. In their last game, Hugoton tipped Cimarron (Cimarron, KS), 17-16, in a non-league game.
