Pike County Pirates (Zebulon, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Sonoraville Phoenix (Calhoun, GA), 8-7 in a non-league game.

The Pirates (30-4) will now prepare for their game against Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, GA). The Spartans go into the non-league game with a 27-6 record. In their last game, Greater Atlanta Christian tipped Long County (Ludowici, GA), 12-2, in a non-league game.
