Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host James River Knights (Buchanan, VA), 6-5 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cavaliers confront the Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA) in a Three Rivers challenge, on Monday, May 9. Carroll County will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record. The Mountaineers enter the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 2-1 league win over Glenvar (Salem, VA).

The Knights now possess a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they host Radford for a Three Rivers challenge on Monday, May 9.
