Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the host West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC), 4-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars face the White Oak Vikings (Jacksonville, NC) in a Coastal 3A challenge, on Monday, May 9. Croatan will attempt to better on its 8-4 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 4-14 record after their 9-2 league loss to Swansboro (Swansboro, NC).

The Patriots now have a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host Dixon for a Coastal 3A challenge on Monday, May 9. West Carteret will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-0 league win over Richlands (Richlands, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-6.
