With the victory, Freedom moves its record to 11-4 on the year. The Patriots travel to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to confront the Huskies in a Northwestern 3A/4A bout on Monday, May 9. The Huskies enter the bout with a record of 5-11. Ashe County lost 6-0 in their recent league bout against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC)

In their next game, the Spartans confront the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A bout, on Tuesday, May 10. South Caldwell will attempt to move on its 5-11 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 3-14 record after their 6-0 league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC).
