In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Swansboro Pirates soccer squad scored a close 9-2 triumph over the White Oak Vikings.
The Pirates (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Richlands (Richlands, NC). The Wildcats come into the Coastal 3A battle with a 8-9 record. In their last battle, Richlands was overwhelmed by Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC), 2-0, in a league battle.
The Vikings (4-14) will now prepare for their battle against Croatan (Newport, NC). The Cougars come into the Coastal 3A battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Croatan nudged West Carteret (Morehead City, NC), 4-0, in a league battle.
