The crowd at Thursday's league test between the Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) and the visiting Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA), saw Galax's soccer squad triumph over Fort Chiswell by a count of 7-1.

The Maroon Tide now hold a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Giles for a Mountain Empire test on Monday, May 9. Galax will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Fort Chiswell drops to 7-7 on the season. The Pioneers travel to Holston (Damascus, VA) to meet the Cavaliers in a non-league test on Monday, May 9. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 3-5.
