Alabama High School Softball - Dale County holds off Ashford

Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Dale County Warriors (Midland City, AL) and the visiting Ashford Yellowjackets (Ashford, AL), witnessed Dale County's softball squad tip Ashford by a count of 5-3.

The Warriors now sport a 22-16 record. They play next when they travel to Geneva for a non-league match on Thursday, May 5. Dale County will face a Panthers squad coming off a 9-7 non-league loss to Wicksburg (Newton, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 22-10.

With the loss, Ashford moves to 10-12 on the season.
