Burlington Demons (Burlington, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wilmot Panthers (Wilmot, WI), 4-0 in a league challenge.

The Demons now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Waterford for a Southern Lakes challenge on Tuesday, May 10. Burlington will battle a Wolverines squad coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Janesville Parker (Janesville, WI). The Wolverines record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Wilmot falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Monona Grove (Monona, WI) to battle the Silver Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 7. The Silver Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 14-0. Monona Grove won 5-2 in their recent league challenge against Fort Atkinson (Fort Atkinson, WI)
