Center Moriches Red Devils (Center Moriches, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Shelter Island Islanders (Shelter Island, NY), 12-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Red Devils now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sayville for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 9.
With the loss, Shelter Island falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Islanders host Pierson/Bridgehampton (Sag Harbor, NY) to battle the Whalers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Whalers enter the challenge with a record of 0-3.
