Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints (Suffolk, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Isle of Wight Academy Chargers (Isle of Wight, VA), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Saints now own a 18-2 record. They take the field next when they host Hickory for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 6.
With the loss, Isle of Wight Academy falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Southampton (Courtland, VA) to battle the Indians in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 9. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 2-1.
