California High School Softball - Santa Maria edged by Orcutt Academy

In Thursday's league outing, the host Orcutt Academy Spartans softball team scored a close 4-3 win over the Santa Maria Saints.

Coming up next, the Spartans encounter the Pioneer Valley Panthers (Santa Maria, CA) in a Ocean outing, on Tuesday, May 10. Orcutt Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 11-12 season record. The Panthers enter the outing with a 13-12 record after their 2-1 league loss to Nipomo (Nipomo, CA).

The Saints (4-18) will now prepare for their outing against Morro Bay (Morro Bay, CA). The Pirates enter the Ocean outing with a 5-11 record. In their last outing, Morro Bay was tipped by Mission Prep (San Luis Obispo, CA), 6-4, in a league outing.
