Penns Valley Area Rams (Spring Mills, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers (Philipsburg, PA), 6-1 in a league challenge.

The Rams now own a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clearfield for a Mountain - Allegheny challenge on Friday, May 6. Penns Valley Area will battle a Bison squad coming off a 9-0 league win over Bellefonte (Bellefonte, PA). The Bison record now stands at 12-1.

With the loss, Philipsburg-Osceola falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Mountaineers host State College (State College, PA) to battle the Little Lions in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 6. The Little Lions enter the challenge with a record of 10-1.
