Colorado High School Baseball - Akron defeats Merino

Akron Rams (Akron, CO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Merino Rams (Merino, CO), 11-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, Akron upgrades its record to 16-6 on the season. The Rams travel to Haxtun (Haxtun, CO) to battle the Fightin' Bulldogs in a non-league test on Friday, May 5. The Fightin' Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 18-1. Haxtun won 14-0 in their recent non-league test against Briggsdale (Briggsdale, CO)

With the defeat, Merino falls to 16-4 on the season.
