The crowd at Friday's league test between the South Columbus Stallions (Tabor City, NC) and the visiting Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC), saw South Columbus's soccer squad knock off Pender by a count of 3-1.

The Stallions now hold a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to East Columbus for a Waccamaw 1A/2A test on Monday, May 8. South Columbus will meet a Gators squad coming off a 5-0 league loss to Whiteville (Whiteville, NC). The Gators record now stands at 3-10.

With the loss, Pender drops to 3-12 on the season. The Patriots host West Columbus (Cerro Gordo, NC) to meet the Vikings in a Waccamaw 1A/2A test on Monday, May 8. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 0-9. West Columbus lost 7-0 in their recent league test against Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC)
