McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Wakefield Fighting Owls (The Plains, VA), 13-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Highlanders now own a 9-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Washington-Liberty for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 8. McLean will face a Generals squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Langley (McLean, VA). The Generals record now stands at 7-5.

In their next game, the Fighting Owls clash with the Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 8. Wakefield will attempt to improve on its 7-2 season record.
