Virginia High School Soccer - Rappahannock knocks off Northumberland

Rappahannock Raiders (Warsaw, VA) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA), 5-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Raiders face the Lafayette Rams (Williamsburg, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 8. Rappahannock will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Rams enter the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 5-0 league loss to Grafton (Yorktown, VA).

The Indians now have a 0-11 record. They take the field next when they host Westmoreland for a Northern Neck challenge on Monday, May 8. Northumberland will face a Eagles team coming off a 8-0 league win over Lancaster (Lancaster, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-2.
