Glenelg Gladiators (Glenelg, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mt. Hebron Vikings (Ellicott City, MD), 8-1 in a league challenge.

The Gladiators now own a 14-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Howard for a Howard County challenge on Monday, May 8. Glenelg will battle a Lions squad coming off a 8-2 league loss to Wilde Lake (Columbia, MD). The Lions record now stands at 5-7.

With the loss, Mt. Hebron falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Atholton (Columbia, MD) to battle the Raiders in a Howard County challenge on Monday, May 8. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Atholton won 19-9 in their recent league challenge against Oakland Mills (Columbia, MD)
