Spectators at Friday's league match between the Maury Commodores (Norfolk, VA) and the host Norcom Greyhounds (Portsmouth, VA), witnessed Maury's softball squad prevail over Norcom by a count of 13-3.

The Commodores now sport a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Booker T. Washington for a Eastern match on Tuesday, May 9. Maury will face a Mighty Bookers squad coming off a 16-0 non-league loss to Arcadia (Oak Hall, VA). The Mighty Bookers record now stands at 1-11.

With the loss, Norcom moves to 1-11 on the season. The Greyhounds host Manor (Portsmouth, VA) to face the Mustangs in a Eastern match on Tuesday, May 9. The Mustangs go into the match with a record of 9-4. Manor lost 14-1 in their recent non-league match against Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA)
