South Side Rams (Hookstown, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Northgate Flames (Pittsburgh, PA), 9-6 in a league challenge.

The Rams now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Union Area for a WPIAL 1A 1 challenge on Monday, May 8. South Side will battle a Scotties squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Sewickley Academy (Sewickley, PA). The Scotties record now stands at 14-2.

With the loss, Northgate falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Flames travel to Carlynton (Carnegie, PA) to battle the Cougars in a WPIAL 1A 1 challenge on Monday, May 8. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 2-3.
