Northridge Vikings (Johnstown, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Utica Redskins (Utica, OH), 16-8 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 2-16 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bishop Ready for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 8. Northridge will battle a Silver Knights squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Madison Christian (Groveport, OH). The Silver Knights record now stands at 3-13.

With the loss, Utica falls to 4-13 on the campaign. The Redskins host Lakewood (Hebron, OH) to battle the Lancers in a Licking County challenge on Saturday, May 6. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 6-9.
