West Albany Bulldogs (Albany, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Silverton Foxes (Silverton, OR), 8-5 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Albany for a 5A Mid-Willamette challenge on Monday, May 8. West Albany will battle a Redhawks squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Silverton (Silverton, OR). The Redhawks record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Silverton falls to 13-5 on the campaign. The Foxes travel to Corvallis (Corvallis, OR) to battle the Spartans in a 5A Mid-Willamette challenge on Monday, May 8. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 7-6.
