The crowd at Monday's league battle between the Jefferson Democrats (Portland, OR) and the host Franklin Quakers (Portland, OR), saw Jefferson's baseball team gain a win over Franklin by a tally of 9-6.

The Democrats (6-9) will now prepare for their battle against Ida B. Wells (Portland, OR). The Guardians enter the 6A Portland Interscholastic battle with a 13-6 record. In their last battle, Ida B. Wells held off Cleveland (Portland, OR), 13-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Quakers face the Grant Generals (Portland, OR) in a 6A Portland Interscholastic battle, on Wednesday, May 7. Franklin will attempt to upgrade on its 1-18 season record. The Generals enter the battle with a 12-7 record after their 15-5 league win over McDaniel (Portland, OR).
