The New Bern Bears lacrosse squad scored 15 points and limited the visiting Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs to 3 in the Bears league triumph on Monday.

The Bears now own a 17-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to J.H. Rose for a Big Carolina/Northeastern Coastal challenge on Wednesday, May 7. New Bern will clash with a Rampants squad coming off a 13-2 league win over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC). The Rampants record now stands at 14-2.

With the loss, Northside - Jacksonville falls to 5-10 on the year. The Monarchs host Havelock (Havelock, NC) to clash with the Rams in a Big Carolina/Northeastern Coastal challenge on Wednesday, May 7. The Rams go into the challenge with a record of 2-9. Havelock lost 15-3 in their recent league challenge against First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC)
