The Hibriten Panthers soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Alexander Central Cougars to 0 in the Panthers league victory on Monday.

The Panthers now hold a 14-4 record. They play next when they host South Caldwell for a Northwestern 3A/4A bout on Wednesday, May 7. Hibriten will play a Spartans squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 7-10.

With the loss, Alexander Central moves to 8-5 on the year. The Cougars travel to Freedom (Morganton, NC) to play the Patriots in a Northwestern 3A/4A bout on Wednesday, May 7. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 6-13. Freedom lost 4-0 in their recent league bout against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC)
