Payson Lions (Payson, UT) backers exited the stadium satisfied Monday as they saw their lacrosse team gain a win over the host Timpanogos Timberwolves (Orem, UT), 9-6 in a league game.

With the victory, Payson improves its record to 13-4 on the season. The Lions travel to Mountain View (Orem, UT) to play the Bruins in a 4A Region 8 game on Thursday, May 8. The Bruins come into the game with a record of 5-10. Mountain View lost 10-6 in their recent league game against Orem (Orem, UT)

The Timberwolves now have a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lehi for a non-league game on Wednesday, May 7. Timpanogos will play a Pioneers team coming off a 11-6 league loss to Westlake (Saratoga Springs, UT). The Pioneers record now stands at 8-6.
