With the triumph, Galax advances its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Maroon Tide host Carroll County (Hillsville, VA) to clash with the Cavaliers in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 6. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 5-5. Carroll County won 4-0 in their recent league test against James River (Buchanan, VA)

The Pioneers now have a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to George Wythe for a Mountain Empire test on Wednesday, May 7. Fort Chiswell will clash with a Maroons team coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Honaker (Honaker, VA). The Maroons record now stands at 8-4.
