The Monticello Mustangs soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting Louisa County Lions to 0 in the Mustangs league victory on Monday.

The Mustangs now possess a 8-3 record. They play next when they host Charlottesville for a Jefferson bout on Thursday, May 8. Monticello will play a Black Knights squad coming off a 5-0 league win over Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Black Knights record now stands at 10-0.

With the loss, Louisa County moves to 0-13 on the year. The Lions host Orange County (Orange, VA) to play the Fighting Hornets in a Jefferson bout on Thursday, May 8. The Fighting Hornets go into the bout with a record of 4-9. Orange County lost 7-0 in their recent league bout against Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA)
