The Somerset Spartans the visiting Altoona Railroaders softball squad by a count of 4-2 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Spartans play the Amery Warriors (Amery, WI) in a Middle Border challenge, on Tuesday, May 6. Somerset will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 2-12 record after their 13-0 league loss to St. Croix Central (Hammond, WI).

The Railroaders (10-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, WI). The Panthers enter the Middle Border challenge with a 13-5 record. In their last challenge, Ellsworth edged Osceola (Osceola, WI), 10-0, in a league challenge.
