The Our Lady of Mercy Academy Villagers overwhelmed the visiting Buena Chiefs softball squad by a count of 6-0 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Villagers meet the Absegami Braves (Galloway, NJ) in a Cape-Atlantic - National challenge, on Wednesday, May 7. Our Lady of Mercy Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Braves go into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 7-3 league win over Atlantic County Institute of Tech (Mays Landing, NJ).

The Chiefs (3-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Hammonton (Hammonton, NJ). The Blue Devils go into the Cape-Atlantic - National challenge with a 15-5 record. In their last challenge, Hammonton held off Holy Spirit (Absecon, NJ), 14-4, in a league challenge.
